The Fram project car before restoration
This is the way the car looked in 1998 when Steve Jasik found it. It had been rusting outside of a church in Newhall, California for years. How did it end up there? No one at the church knew. Little is known about the car between the time the Fram campaign ended and this moment when Jasik re-discovered it. Research is ongoing though...

Ying & Yang at the Saugus Car Show
The car always draws a crowd. Here it is in 2002 at Saugus Speedway. The car's exterior has been restored to the time of the Fram Campaign, with accurate colors and trim. People still can't believe it really drives in two directions.

Ying & Yang today
Restoration work continues on Ying & Yang. The 1972 Datsun F-10 was not a common car in it's day, and now parts are very hard to come by. Years of driving on the East Coast during the Fram campaign caused salt corrosion and the suspension components need to be replaced. In this shot you can see the lights added to the grill to serve as brake lights. Since the car has no "back end" this had to be done to pass the California vehicle inspection. Ying & Yang is street legal now and coming to a parade near you!

More cars coming soon...
